We are writing this article in response to the fact that our legal advice service is increasingly being contacted by people asking us to give them, as they say, “just advice”. Which between the lines means they want good and expert advice ideally from an online lawyer, but free of charge.
To the best of our knowledge and conscience, we cannot provide free legal advice. Since many people interpret such a response as an unwillingness or lack of goodwill to help, or worse, as an attempt to make a profit at any cost, we have decided to comment on this and explain to all such people why it is in their interest to pay for advice and a solution to a legal problem, and what they can avoid by relying only on free legal advice.
