How does the assistance work?

A client who needs advice orders the COVID-19 Disability Legal Aid service on our website, completes a short questionnaire and uploads documents relevant to the case. This allows the attorney to prepare in advance to provide the service and answer questions.

The attorney will then contact the client to suggest a possible solution and appropriate course of action during a brief phone call. He will also answer specific questions, if possible.

The client will thus know where to go next, what his/her claim is, what the risks are, etc. Of course, the lawyer can also help with further steps, but this will be by mutual agreement.

There have already been a few attorneys offering their services on social media. We want to help connect this goodwill to specific cases.
