The minimum wage will increase to 24,900 korunas per month starting in 2027. The government has approved new coefficients for calculating the minimum wage for 2027 and 2028 as part of the statutory adjustment mechanism.

In 2027, the minimum wage will be 44.6% of the average wage and will rise from the current 22,400 korunas to 24,900 korunas per month. For 2028, the government has set the coefficient at 45.8% of the average wage; according to current calculations, the minimum wage should thus amount to approximately 26,900 korunas.

The increase will primarily affect employees earning the minimum wage, but its impact is broader. Certain other labor-law and social indicators are also linked to the minimum wage. This is no longer merely a political intention—on September 7, the government approved the relevant regulation, under which the minimum wage for 2027 will be set at 24,900 korunas per month.
