On 7 March 2025, the Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved the so-called flexinovolution of the Labour Code, which aims to increase the flexibility of employment relationships and facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life.
The key changes include the extension of the probationary period from three to four months, up to eight months for senior employees, and the modification of the notice period, which will now start from the date of delivery of the notice to the other party. The amendment also shortens the notice period to one month in cases where notice is given for breach of work discipline or failure to meet legal requirements for job performance.
Another novelty is the possibility for minors from the age of 14 to perform light work during the main summer holidays.
