Warranty (for quality) – an undertaking by the seller that the item will be fit for its usual purpose or retain its usual characteristics for a specified period of time. These effects include the indication of the guarantee period or the shelf life of the item on the packaging or in the advertisement. A guarantee may also be given for an individual part of the item.
