Sublease

A sublease is based on a sublease agreement, which is similar to a lease agreement. The difference is that the tenant is the “landlord” (correctly subtenant). The sublease agreement is therefore concluded by the prospective tenant with the tenant, i.e. a person who is not the owner of the property (flat or house) but is a person who has a lease agreement with the owner of the flat or house. However, the consent of the landlord, i.e. the owner of the flat or house, is required for the conclusion of a sublease agreement.
